Do you know that if God knows you are in need of a physical touch from His angel…He can send it. On this occasion Elijah had been running after the challenge at Carmel. Elijah was hungry and worn out. He was asleep when “the angel” of the Lord came and touched him. Yes, by God’s decree an angel touched a human being. Elijah was touched by God’s angel. Elijah was in need of help, encouragement, and in a way that only God could bring it about, God sent His angel to touch Elijah. No description of what the touch was like, but it must have been a very pure, and holy touch, for that is only what God’s angels can give. Rest in the wonderful truth that if God knows you are in need of a touch from His angel, He can bring it right on time, according to His choosing.
