Genesis 39:9, “…How can I do such a wicked thing as this? It would be a great sin against God.”
The fact of temptation will be a reality in our lives until the day we leave this world. Why? Because Satan loves for Christians to fall. Yet, there is a wonderful way to win in temptation…it is to live focused on the God over all of life. In the midst of Joseph’s temptation to go to bed and sleep with Potiphar’s wife, he didn’t lose sight of God. He realized that God was watching everything that he did. The same is true today. Even as you read this devotion, God is watching your life. You are seen by Him 24/7/365. You will never get out of God’s watchful eye. He is watching to protect you, love you and deliver you from all the temptations that have the potential to destroy your life. Focusing on God saved Joseph in a serious time of temptation…and it will do the same for us as well.
