Exodus 6:1, “Now you will see what I shall do to Pharaoh, the Lord told Moses. For he must be forced to let my people go; he will not only let them go, but will drive them out of his land.”
To the people of Israel, Pharaoh was a ruthless leader and was not going to listen to Moses, neither would he listen to Moses’ God. Yet, God has a powerful way of getting the attention of any person that he desires, regardless of whether that person acknowledges God. Though Pharaoh had a hard heart and cared nothing for the Lord, God arranged circumstances to get his undivided attention, to the point that the children of Israel were freed from bondage. Make no mistake about it, the Sovereign God rules from on High, and no human leader is any match for Him. His will prevails throughout time and eternity. What God decreed happened…Pharaoh drove the people out of Egypt. Why? Because God is God and His will always reigns.
