1 Peter 1:7, “These trials are only to test your faith, to see whether or not it is strong and pure. It is being tested as fire tests gold and purifies it-and your faith is far more precious to God that mere gold; so if you remain strong after being tried in the test tube of fiery trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day of his return.”
From God’s vantage point, trials are not designed to knock us down, but rather to test us, reveal our character and show that we will obey God. It is in the heat of the trials of life that we reveal our true self, and our true character. It is in the midst of the trials of life that we reveal our ‘true self’. The tests may come from others. The test may be the seeming silence of God. Whatever your test, God is at work in your faith. Because you faith is more valuable that all the gold in the world…to the heart of God. It is the will of God that He wants for you a strong, confident faith that will last and grow. Yet, it is only through the trials of life that it grows. As you grow in faith….trust that God will reveal it when He comes…for that is His promise.
