1 Peter 5:9, “But resist him, firm in your faith….”
Satan beats at the fabric of your mind with his whispers, evil voices, and terrible images…how do you stand? How is a person to win in the warfare against Satan and all his evil minions? God gives the answer in this verse. The answer is found in a “firm faith”. A believer who stands against evil knows the truth of God’s Word and practices daily obedience to God. Obedience to God is the greatest resistance to Satan and all evil. Satan wants us to believe he is all powerful…Truth declares he is under the hand of God. Satan wants us to believe he can do to us anything he desires….Truth declares he must get God’s permission first. Satan wants us to believe that he is as powerful as God…Truth declares he is a created being under God’s control. When you know truth and walk in obedience to God…Satan has lost in your life…and what a joy to know victory after victory will come in your life as you walk in obedience to God
