Just as sure as we desire to stand for God and for good, Satan will launch his missiles of temptation at our lives. In the life of Joseph it was a seductive woman who wanted him to violate his purity before God. While God is all powerful, and could have kept them temptation from Joseph, God permitted it to expose the character in the life of Joseph. So it is with temptation today from God’s vantage point. God allows times of temptation into our lives to “test” our character and integrity. Joseph revealed that he was a man of honor and a man of integrity by refusing the “lures” of Potiphar’s wife. Satan desires that we fall in all temptation, but God is faithful and will always give us an “exit” in every temptation…ours is to look for the exit, and stand…being true to God.
