Psalms 75:1, “We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks, For Your name is near….” (NASB)
While there are a thousand things in this life for which we can give thanks…we often overlook the most important reason to give thanks. The ultimate reason to give thanks is that there is a God in heaven who loves us with an unconditional love. The God who created us, is near to us in every season of life. Our financial circumstances may change. Even the health of our body may change. But there is One who never changes or alters one iota. Holy God who sits on His throne in heaven, is always near to us. He cannot abandon His children. He can never walk away from our lives. His promise is that He will always be near to our lives. If you are in a crisis today…God is near. If you are facing insurmountable problems…God is near. If you are facing personal loss…God is near. He is close to all those who call on His name. Imagine….we can never walk through life without the loving hand of God to lead us and guide us. What a reason to live in thanksgiving.
