Deuteronomy 13:3, “…For the Lord is testing you to find out whether or not you really love him with all your heart and soul.”
We live in a world of massive religions. You can look all around you and find one religion after another to follow if you choose to. But why does God permit this to be so? Why doesn’t He allow there to be no religion to follow but the true religion? It is in the nature of God to allow us times of testings for the purpose of discerning our love for him. Throughout history God has permissively allowed religions to be birthed to test His crowning creation…mankind. He tests man to see if he will follow true religion based on the truths of His holy Word or follow something devised and made up by mankind. Yes, God knows all the religions that have been birthed since the creation of the world…but He tests us to see if we desire to follow Him, love Him, worship Him and Him alone. What or who will you follow today? Will you follow with all your heart the living God?
