Matthew 2:1, “Jesus was born in the town of Bethlehem…”
At the right time on God’s calendar, God gave His Son, Jesus, to be born in the town of Bethlehem, the city of David’s birth. Why is this so significant? Because approximately 700 years prior to this event, God declared through His servant Micah that Bethlehem would be the birthplace of the King who is from everlasting to everlasting. 700 years of weeks, months, years and God did not forget. God didn’t forget because God cannot forget His Word. God cannot forget His prophecies, neither can He forget His people. You walk through this time of year in the midst of a sea of people, but Holy God cannot forget you. He knows you by name, and He knows you personally. God will never forget you, your needs, concerns, problems, or difficulties in life. His nature is that He cannot forget you. Just as the prophecy was not lost in the 700 years of time, neither are we lost in the sea of humanity. You can live today knowing that you are not forgotten by God. You cannot count the number of times that God thinks of you today…He cannot forget you.
