John 1:12, “But to all who received him, he gave the right to become children of God….”
Today, some child’s life will change! As parents take that child from an orphanage, where the child had no parents to love, provide and care for him or her. That child will be taken into the arms of parents who have chosen to “adopt”. The child will now know security, the love of parents, the provision for all needs…and much more. So it is with us who are the redeemed of God. Before salvation, we were captive to Satan. Yet, in the loving grace of God, through Jesus Christ, we are adopted into the awesome family of God. Now we have a God who loves us, cares for us, provides all our needs for us, and He will do not only for time, but for eternity. Imagine the wonderful thought…our Father runs the world. If you are a child of God, you belong to Him, and most of all He belongs to you. His loving care will always be around your life, and just when you thought a need was going unattended, He will show you His loving care by providing. Why? Because you have been adopted into His family, and no one in the family of God ever has to go a begging. All we need to do is ask. What a joy to know that we are not orphans, but rather we are in the family of God, not only for time, but for eternity.
