Joshua 24:15, “…Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will choose to serve the Lord.”
The choices of our life carry within them consequences that we may or may not realize. With each and every new year, people all over the world make either temporary or long term choices…that impact the totality of their lives. Joshua made a choice in his life that impacted the totality of his life as well as the life of all Israel. He made a choice to serve the Lord. With his mind, body, and soul, he chose to walk with God. No person ever accidentally walks with God. We walk with God by choice. Make no mistake about it, what you choose to do will always carry long term consequences over your life. If you choose to ignore God, reject God, you will find in time to come consequences that are unalterable. If you choose as a day by day process to walk with the God who created you, you will find through time, His wonderful overflowing blessings on you. Why? Because choosing to walk with God always carries the consequence of His blessing!!!
