Romans 13:11, “Another reason for right living is this: you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up , for the coming of the Lord is nearer now than when we first believed.”
To watch the world around us, right living is useless and futile. The day in which we live is a day where “man does as he pleases”. Yet the world has overlooked a sobering reality…the Lord is coming back. Let a person think what he will, believe what he will, yet the fact stands, the Lord will come from heaven, with might, glory and great power. It has been decreed in the archives of eternity, and it will happen. There is a sobering call for all who are redeemed to “wake up” to right living. It is right living that brings honor to the Lord God. It is right living that witnesses to a watching world. When the Lord comes, how do you would to be found? What will you want to be caught doing? How glorious it will be if the Lord comes and finds us living, walking in such a way to please Him.
