Judges 4:1-2, “…The people of Israel sinned against the Lord, so the Lord let them be conquered.”
Regardless of what a society may or may not think about the God of the universe, the fact remains that He is the Sovereign of the universe, and He reigns from on high from everlasting to everlasting. Every society that has turned against God has paid a price for doing so. Israel turned against the Lord God in the Old Testament, and God allowed wicked, ungodly, ruthless leadership to rule over them…for the purpose of teaching them the price of sin, and its consequences. When Israel would repent and turn back to God, He would hear from on high and give them good leadership. Our world sees nothing wrong with sin, and for that we are going to pay a supreme price. Because the God of the universe never alters one iota. Our only hope is genuine personal repentance…a turning back to God, and being oriented to Him. What happens in our land is based on a genuine, not a synthetic return to the Living God.
