Judges 6:1, “Then the people of Israel began once again to worship other gods, and once again the Lord let their enemies harass them…”
The reality in the lives of many people today will find that their life is one of continually harassment of some type. However, when we are experiencing harassment in life, it is always good to go back and seriously search our lives and ask this question, “Am I truly worshipping God or have I allowed something or someone to take His place?” Israel allowed themselves to worship other gods, and God would not permit it. He remains a holy and jealous God. He is serious about our lives. When we become disoriented and walk away from Him, He will allow much harassment to come to our lives. We will find all sorts of problems, difficulties and hardships…all because we have walked away from true love and worship of God. If our lives are filled with harassments, it is wise to take time and search our soul. God is a God of love, and He allows no competitors to our lives…without His divine confrontation.
