There is a wonder in confessing and taking ownership of the sins we commit. While the world sees nothing wrong with their actions, that is not the case with the person that desires to walk right before God. Confession is that moment that we “own” or sins, and know that our sins have grieved a holy God. When we confess our sins, that is the moment that God frees us and forgives us of our guilt. Not because of our prayer, but on the basis of Jesus Christ death at the cross. God counts Jesus Christ death as our punishment, and He is able to cleanse us of the guilt of our sins. Oh the joy of living clean, being clean before the God of the universe. With a clean heart we can enjoy life, ourselves, others, and most of all we grow to love the God who yearns to fellowship with us on a daily basis.
