of this world. We can let our hearts be focused on the praise of men, prominence, power and a thousand other things. The world may applaud those actions. But God directs us this day to focus and fixate our heart of complete devotion to Him, His truth, His statutes and directives. If life is tremendously problematic for you, it may well be that you have drifted from “whole devotion” to the Lord. It is the life that is wholly devoted to the Lord that experiences the fullness of His blessings…peace, joy, tranquility, and inner happiness. If these are alluding you ask this sobering question, “Am I letting my heart be wholly devoted to the Lord?” An honest answer to that question with genuine repentance will result in returned joy in a thousand different ways.
