Mark 10:51 (TLB) “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked. “O Teacher,” the blind man said, “I want to see!”
The reality of life will bring one crisis after another. They may not come today, but we can be assured that they will come. Crisis, from God’s vantage point are those times to call on Him, trust in Him, believe in Him, and watch Him at work. Bartimaeus had a crisis in his life…he could not see. Yet, it was through his blindness that led him to the very presence of Jesus Christ himself. If he had not been blind, he may never had stood before the Son of God. Yet, his crisis brought about an audience with Jesus Himself. One question that Jesus asked, “What do you want me to do for you?” His response was humble yet immediate…he wanted with all his heart to see, and Jesus responded with healing because of Bartimaeus’s faith. God was honored, Bartimaeus faith grew, and the world saw the power of God at work. Make no mistake about it, our crisis are not an accident. They are designed for us to call on God, and watch Him at His wonderful and mighty work. His power has not dimensioned one iota, for He is an unchanging God.
