Psalm 20:1 (TLB) In your day of trouble, may the Lord be with you! May the God of Jacob keep you from all harm.
Just as there is rain on the just and unjust, so is there trouble in the life of the child of God similar to that of an unbeliever. To be a child of God does not prevent us from experiencing the troubles of life. The believer will suffer unexpected tragedy, loss, catastrophe, for these are a part of a fallen world that is warped by sin. Yet, the radical difference is this…the Lord God stands ready to help His children in their day of trouble. Just as a loving parent comes to rescue of their child in trouble, so does our Heavenly Father come to our rescue. God will always take care of His children, and He will prove it by His actions. To think that you can experience trouble apart from God’s concern is foreign to Scripture. If you are experiencing trouble today…watch to see how the Lord comes to you and helps you in ways that are beyond human understanding. For God loves His children…and always shows it.
