Genesis 6:8, “But Noah was a pleasure to the Lord….”
In the midst of a world that was warped and wicked, one man, Noah did not lose his spiritual compass. While the masses of people were behaving in ways that were abominable, Noah was a man that found favor in the sight of the Lord, and brought the Lord great pleasure. His life was such that God moved mightily to protect him and his family, while God destroyed all who were wicked. In a world today th
at is warped and wicked, does God find pleasure in your life? Does your thought life reflect a person who yearns to please God? Will your actions today reveal a person who yearns with all his or her heart to please the Lord. Culture does not make us lose our spiritual bearings. The truth is we lose our spiritual bearings by choice to walk away from God who loves us and cares for us. Just as Noah brought pleasure to God through a life of obedience, so can we bring pleasure to God today by that same type of life! Will we be a pleasure to God today?
