Psalm 69:1 (TLB) “Save me, O my God…”
There are those seasons in our lives, when we are not interested in long prayers, because the urgency and the desperation of the moment. We are in a crisis, a critical situation, one in which we need immediate help, and the only words that we can say are “Save me, O Lord” or “Help”. Never think for one moment when we say only a few words to God that He is bothered or upset that our prayer was not longer. Often times, the more serious our need, the fewer our words will be. Today you may find yourself in a desperate situation, and there is no time for a long time of prayer. In that time, call out to the Lord and He will hear. Ask the Lord to “save you”, “rescue you” or “help you”, and He will most definitely run to your aid. When we learn to call out to the Lord quickly, He saves us from a multitude of problems. Our utterance to God for help causes heaven and earth to move because our God’s love for us. Oh, what a Father we have!!!
