When it comes to our needs, the call and command from God is to “tell Him”. Telling God our needs is not informing Him, and giving Him new information. He already is aware of your needs, but “telling” is a sign of humility, dependence, and trust. Are you in need of a new job, tell God. Are you in need of help in your marriage, tell God. Are you struggling in some area, tell God. Telling is our part in releasing whatever is on our heart to the Sovereign God who has made all things. He will hear and answer requests. Why? Because you are significant and important to the God of the universe. After all it was He that made you.
