There are many ways we can examine the cross. We could examine it though the eyes of man. Many in the time of Jesus thought Jesus to be a criminal, while the soldier beside Jesus knew this was the Son of God. The cross could be examined through the eyes of Jesus, who would experience an agony that on He could comprehend, and understand. The pain of the cross was beyond human words, not to mention the fact that Jesus bore in His body the sin of mankind.
