Has it ever dawned upon you that God has a “best” designed specifically for you? God didn’t create you, bring you into this world, and then barely want you to get by, or barely make it. Sad to say that is precisely what is happening in the lives of so many individuals this very day who name the name of Christ. Think about it for just a moment, Jesus Christ came into this world to take your sins in and upon Himself in order that you would not die and enter “hell” which is the worst of the worst placed a person and live, but rather Jesus died to take your sins upon Himself, in order that you would enjoy the “Heaven” and the best of the best for eternity. If God has a best in eternity designed specifically just for your by the shed blood of Jesus Christ, doesn’t it make sense that God, who cannot change, and wants for you His best, wants a best for you while you are living, moving, and breathing in and upon this earth. In Psalms 81, God is announcing to the nation of Israel, that chosen nation of His that He had some plans for them, and they were plans for their best. God had a “best” in store for a nation, just like He does for us individually. God didn’t want the nation of Israel to believe for one moment that He created them, brought them from Abraham, to merely exist on the earth. Because our God is a good and wonderful God, who loves us and yearns for His abundant best. But when you listen to God speak, and compare that to what is happening to many lives who name the name of Christ, then you have to ask this question, “What is happening?” “Why is there such a difference in what God says and how so many Christians are living their lives?” Many who name the name of Christ are not “enjoying” God’s best. Many who name the name of Christ have no joy in and upon their lives or lips. Going to church is like pulling teeth. It is dreaded, and in the heart of some even disliked! Why are so many missing God’s best?
