In the day and time we are living, more and more people are becoming conscious about “dress”. And there is a “type of dress” for almost every aspect of life.  There is formal dress, casual dress, leisure dress, and dress for pretty much any type of occasion that a person could mention.

God through the apostle Paul is reminding them in the closing chapter that there is “essential dress” that is imperative to “win” in the warfare over temptation, and over the power of Satan. Since Satan is evil, does evil, walks in evil, devises evil ways, it is the outflow of the nature of Satan to harass and bombard Christians with every type of temptation possible for the purpose of seeing them fall, and gaining one more victim when it comes to temptation.  And in reality, there is no one immune to temptation.  Paul, the greatest apostle knew very well the harassing darts of Satan when it came to temptation.  Since they were tempted, and faced missiles of temptation, it is a wise Christian that owns up to the fact and faces the fact of temptation, and the daggers of temptation in his or her life.
