1 Peter 4:5, “But just remember that they must face the Judge of all, living and dead; they will be punished for the way they have lived.”
You are laughed at for your godly walk and your former friends are doing the laughing. What are you to do? You are not to retaliate, but remember that those who are speaking ungodly about you are in reality speaking ungodly about the God who saved you. Ours is not to pick up a club and go after them, though we would like to in the flesh. Ours is to step back and remember…all men alive and those who have died, wicked and righteous will one day stand before the Lord at the proper time. Those who have laughed at you for your faith in Christ will not be laughing in the judgment, when the Lord Jesus punishes them for all eternity. Rest in the fact that Jesus has perfect memory, and knows all who have laughed at your godly living…and it is for sure they will either repent or weep for all eternity in a place that Jesus calls “hell”…where there is no laughter.
