Numbers 25:3, “Before long all Israel joined freely in the worship of Baal, the god of Moab; and the anger of the Lord was hot against his people.”
The God who created us is an uncompromising God. While He loves us with an eternal love, His anger is turned against us when we allow anything in life to take His place. The people of Israel took lightly bowing to Moab and paid a dear price. Our world has become a land of “many gods;” yet Holy God, the God who made the heavens and the earth never takes lightly one person who chooses to turn away from Him to another god. We will experience the anger of God if we choose to turn away from Him. His blessings will be far from our lives, home, children and grandchildren. If you find your life desolate today . . .it may be wise to ask the question . . . am I allowing competitors before Holy God?
