James 4:2 (TLB) “… And yet the reason you don’t have what you want is that you don’t ask God for it.”
If you wonder why God isn’t answering your prayers, it may well be vital to ask a most sobering question- “How seriously are you praying?” God gives the most basic of all answers as to why so many have no answers to prayers…they fail to ask God. God never promises to read our mind and give us what we wish for. To have answers to prayers, there must be “REQUEST” placed at the very throne of God. God cannot answer unprayed prayers. If you fail to pray, and come before God’s holy throne with your request…then expect nothing to happen. We can wish, hope, dream all we desire, but God never answers wishes, hopes, or dreams. God answers serious prayers that come from those serious in prayer. Serious prayers can be prayed anywhere…walking, driving, sitting, and standing. But they must be prayed. Take time today and place serious requests before the Lord…then stand back and watch God at work. See if He will not move as you “ASK” specifically.
