Psalm 41:1 (TLB) God blesses those who are kind to the poor. He helps them out of their troubles.
God brings across your life today a person who is poor and has little means. You may meet him/her at the door of a local market, at a crosswalk, or any place the journey of life may take you. The question that remains is this…how will you treat them. Will you ignore them and pass them by, will you extend a kind word and a courteous smile. The truth is, God has already orchestrated every person He will bring across your life today. He will bring them by your life, to reveal who you are in nature and character. He notes carefully how you will respond to the poor person (though you may never know their degree of poverty). As you respond in lovingkindness to the poor person, did you know God will respond in loving kindness to you. He will help you in your time of difficulty. He will repay you in a like manner as to how you repay the poor person. Your kindness to the poor is “seen” and noticed by your Father in heaven, and make no mistake about it, He will reward that life that is kind, gentle and compassionate to the poor.
