Would you give yourself to take the punishment for another human being? Would you be whipped in the place of another? Because God has a love for us that is beyond our comprehension, God sent Jesus to take the whipping for our sins. Since God is holy and must deal with all sin, He put Jesus in our place and punished Him, to satisfy the holy anger of God against sin. If you think salvation is free…turn again and look at the crucifixion of Jesus. Jesus is there being crucified in our place, suffering our execution because of the glorious love of God. You have the privilege of heaven, because God took His Son and laid on Him all our sins, and punished Him in our place. He gave us what we didn’t deserve. May we live today, serving and loving the One who loves us with all of His Eternal Being.
