There is a sobering reality about each of our lives…before a Holy God. It is the reality that we are sinners. By our fallen nature we do things that are wrong, think and act wrong. We act wrong because we are fallen and because we are sinners by nature and by choice. If you think “sinning” is a light thing, you are sorely mistaken. For in God’s love, He sent Jesus to take punishment for your sins and mine. God will vent His wrath against all sin, and all sinners. Our only way of escape of God’s wrath is through Jesus Christ. It was at the cross where Jesus died that God revealed His attitude for sin. We can choose God’s payment for sin in Jesus Christ, or we will pay for our sins for all eternity…there are no other option. But one fact is clear…all sin will be paid for. The question we must answer is this…will we allow Jesus to pay for our sins, or will we choose to pay for our sins by eternal separation from God?
